Dandelion, (photographic negative)

This is one of series of black and white photographs  that were inspired by Karl Blossfeldt, German photographer and sculptor (June 13, 1865 – December 9, 1932).  Blossfeldt, is  best known for his close-up photographs of plants. It is Blossfeldt’s recognition and celebration of nature’s form and pattern, that makes his work strong, beautiful and timeless. He distills order and beauty from the chaos of nature.

A recognition and celebration form and pattern is central to my this series of black and white botanical photos.  This photograph makes an emphatic statement when reproduce 36″ by 36″ ( 92cm bt 92cm) – or larger.  “Dandelion,” will compliment modern or eclectic interiors.  The depth of the black and white tones is enhanced with face-mount style or aluminum composite frameless printing.
