I have compiled a series of iris pictures where I tried to see this flower in a different way. The dynamic shapes, structures and patterns of the iris are isolated to produce images that have an abstracted quality. In these images, the structure and patterns loom larger than the usual view of the flower. We often dismiss the powerful and sensual qualities of a flower. I have tried to emphasize these qualities in this series of fine art photographs.
Photographic prints are available in various sizes. The largest size facemount pictures (approx. 24X36) are limited to an edition of 10. A large scale floral picture will immediately change the mood and energy of a room.
The “Pale Purple Iris,” is the softest of this flower series. It is less graphic and a more romantic interpretation of this flower.
