Planning and Spontaneity

I tend to plan for and shoot garden scenes early in my photo session and end with the detail shots. I may create a story around a garden feature or plant.  Thinking about a narrative or story,  forces the photographer to consider more than one picture or point of view.

I usually have a general plan but try to remain open to the spontaneous. Shooting alone tends to get better results than shooting with a group as there is less distractions from the job of photography.
