Jannette Maedel is the creator of Scarlet Black Fashion. Maedel has an MFA degree from UBC and trained as a costume and set designer. She has an extensive fashion design background. Maedel teaches Fashion Writing at VCAD (Vancouver College of Art and Design). She is a freelance fashion writer and staff writer for Malary’s Fashion Network.
